Park Play
We have regularly scheduled playdates at Observatory Park during the summer months or simply when it’s a beautiful day. Please see our Events Calendar to find out when the next Park Playdate is planned. These are informal get-togethers and it’s a great way to catch up with old friends and make some new friends, as well.
Events, Activities & Seminars
Our annual events include an Easter Egg Hunt, a 4th of July Parade (hosted by the University Park Community Council), a Halloween Party, The Mom’preneur Event where self-employed moms can showcase their wares, and a Holiday Sing in December (hosted by the University Park Community Council). Plus we schedule several activities throughout the year, like a group visit to the Denver Zoo, a walk over to Ben and Jerry’s for ice-cream, or a walk around Washington Park.
“In a Pinch” Assistance
The last thing you want to deal with after having a baby is making dinner. If you are pregnant and would like to have help with a meal after your baby’s birth, let us know and we’ll round up the troops to cook and deliver a meal to you! Email inapinch@uparkmoms.org to get the ball rolling. Check out our In a Pinch Tips and Tricks page.
Babysitter List and Pre-school List
Need help finding a sitter for Friday night or anytime? Try our babysitter list. Know of a great sitter you are willing to share with the group? Let us know and we’ll add the name to the list.
We also have a handy list of pre-schools in the neighborhood, with ages, days of the week, times, etc, so that you can easily select several to tour/check out in more detail.
Member’s Nights Out
Mom’s Night Out gatherings are informal and a great way to meet other moms. Members take turns hosting at their homes and each person attending brings an appetizer or bottle of wine to share. An Evite will go out to all members beforehand so you can plan ahead. Please see the Events Calendar to find out when the next Mom’s Night out is planned. If you are interested in hosting a Mom’s Night Out, contact our Mom’s Night Out Coordinator at events@uparkmoms.org.
Date Night gatherings are informal and a great way to meet other couples in the neighborhood. Once a quarter we meet on a Saturday night at a neighborhood restaurant for drinks and/or dinner. An Evite will go out to all members beforehand so you and the restaurant can plan ahead. Please see the Activities & Events Calendar to find out when the next Date Night is planned.
Neighborhood Involvement and Community Service Activities
We like to give back to the community. If you’re looking for a way to get involved, contact our president at info@uparkmoms.org and she’ll let you know how you can help. We also list any upcoming community service on our Events Calendar.
Hi, I was a member of Mom’s club for years with my twins, and now have a children’s dance program in the neighborhood and mom’s Pilates and Dance classes. Have a new class coming up for 2-3 year olds starting in March for 2-3 year olds on Colorado and Yale, Wednesdays 10 am-10:45 am. If you’d like more information, email me below!
Boogie Bugs N’ Fairy Tails- a performance style dance class for children 2-5 years old! This is a 45 minute creative movement class, that teaches ballet technique with a more creative and playful approach, using story and expression to find self awareness, confidence and the skills it takes to BE a Boogie Bug. Class will include a variety of dance and music styles with a showcase performance at the end of specific seasons.
Each lesson will focus on Ballet basics and expose children to Ballet, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Hip Hop styles. Boogie Bugs N’ Fairy Tails is fun for boys and girls.
