August
- Saturday, August 14 at dusk. On the Saturday nearest the first quarter moon, the DAS hosts an Open House at the University of Denver's historic Chamberlin Observatory. Guests can view the heavens through the observatory's famous 20-inch aperture Alvan Clark-Saegmuller refractor by registering on the main floor of the observatory and paying a $1 per-person fee.
- Sunday, August 15, 5:30pm - Family No Cook Night at Jordans
- Wednesday, August 18 The quarterly meeting of the Buchtel Boulevard Coalition (BBC) to discuss two major topics. First, a report from the traffic department on the traffic study being done on Buchtel, related to our proposal to replace the traffic signal at St. Paul with three four way stops. Second, a briefing from Councilman Chris Nevitt on the traffic improvements underway at the Louisiana/Pearl station area.
- Wednesday, August 25 free day at the Denver Botanical Gardens
- Monday, August 30 free day at the Children’s Museum of Denver
- Check out free music events at University of Denver – Lamont School of Music. Free events in orange and dark blue on its calendar.
